WHAT IT DOES

Turn a map image into a portable, geographically registered dataset.

01 · IMPORT

Pair image and session.

Load the image saved from GeoMapApp together with the session information that describes its geographical frame.

02 · CROP

Keep the region that matters.

Select the working area and create a clean PNG for the geological or seismic task at hand.

03 · REGISTER

Export the matching XML.

Write the accompanying registration record so the image can be positioned correctly in eQuakes or Pplates.

A complete four-file example.

The Marrakesh dataset contains the source session and image together with the cropped PNG and matching XML created by ImageXML.
